Liminal Stories aims to amplify stories that are in service to life.

A photograph of Christina Williams, founder of Liminal Stories. She is a white woman, mid-30s, smiling in the photo. There is a light breeze so her long, straight brown hair is blowing slightly in the wind, and she has Ray Ban sunglasses perched on her head. She's wearing a collared flannel shift, Patagonia zip-up vest, and she has a heart-shaped necklace around her neck.

Hi, I'm Christina Williams.

I am passionate about stories and the way in which they shape our realities. I think that 'marketing' has become a dirty word and its methods are beholden to consumerist culture. I want to redesign communications for more beautiful futures.

I enjoy collaborating with dreamers, visionaries, creatives, and changemakers to help bring far-fetched or seemingly unrealistic ideas to life. The world is in urgent need of new stories. I'm here to work with people and organisations who are telling those stories and help refine and amplify their message.

Why 'Liminal' Stories?

We may know that the old story is failing us, but we don't yet know what the new story will be. This is why we need stories in the liminal space--the space between one story ending and another beginning.

She is sitting on a blue couch with a laptop on her lap, and her golden dog is lying next to her on the couch. She is wearing black skinny jeans, white Veja sneakers, and a casual grey blazer over a beige shirt. She has a red lanyard around her neck with a name tag. She is looking at the camera and laughing. There is sun streaming onto her and her dog through the window behind the couch.

My background

My work experience has been wide-ranging. I've worked in sporting apparel and leadership development, and in the companies in which I have held long-term positions I was always the ‘spider in the web,’ as a previous manager described it.

I have worn many hats and taken on many roles, which has given me experience in marketing, operations, events, business development, product/program development, community management, and business administration. I'm a generalist and proud of it!

My passion is communications and storytelling, but I also love working with startups to help refine their processes and operational efficiency. I excel in dynamic environments in small to medium-sized organisations.

My expertise lies in combining big-picture thinking with attention to detail and logistical practicalities to bring all manner of things to life. I can write your website for you, or I can just spill your own ideas back at you until they make sense. I am a wordsmith and an idea-unpacker. I will turn your vague ideas into awesome realities.

I'm a proud Bio-Leadership Fellow, and I've completed deep ecology, leadership, facilitation, and creative courses with Emergence Magazine, Becoming Crew, The Dark Mountain Project, THNK School of Leadership, and The Leadership Collaboratory.

The values that guide my work

Integrity

I believe in staying true to what you stand for. If I feel that we're not aligned on a values level, I will say so.

Adaptability

Uncertainty is my wheelhouse. Life and business are full of curveballs and I am up to the challenge.

Learning

To do our best work, we must be able to admit what we don't know. I am relentlessly seeking knowledge.

Curiosity

There is nothing more satisfying than a fantastic question. I ask 'what if?' and believe nothing is impossible.

Humour

Just because the work is serious doesn't mean we have to be. I love to bring play and laughter into the work I do.

Sources of inspiration

My work has been inspired by so many sources, I could not possibly list them all. Here is a small selection of inspiring resources that are most resonant with me these days.
